SAMA is here to help…
We are committed to empowering young people and their families with effective, research-based care and recovery management.
We lead the way in advancing addiction science, sharing what works and advocating for the support every family deserves.
Substance addiction is a treatable brain disease. It is both a public health issue and a personal struggle for many families-made even more devastating by the stigma and lack of resources they face.
SAMA provides free telephone support to parents and other concerned family members as they navigate the treatment system.
SAMA offers experienced counselors, research informed methods, and a respectful process for youth ages 13-25.
Our research informed skills-based parent groups provide support and direction about how to stay engaged positively with your loved one.
Thank you for supporting SAMA during the biggest single day of charitable giving in King County #GiveBIG! In 24 hours 11.1 million dollars was raised for over 1,400 non-profits in our community. Because of your donations we raised $4,075 for our Young People in Recovery Night. This event provides fun and healthy activities and develops early recovery skills for young people. Thank you so much!
“If we’re honest, there is not a person among us whose life has not been disrupted—either directly, or indirectly—by addiction. We invite you to join us to build SAMA into a leading national voice and to restore hope for families like ours who want nothing more than to heal and comfort a sick child.”
— Dr. Robert Day and CJ Taylor Day, SAMA Co-Founders
